My Swenson Red grapes arrived while I was out of town. Luckily, they survived and are now planted in the fruit garden, one of which is already leafing out. Two years seems a long time to wait to see if I get grapes, but if they go as fast as the last eight, it will be like tomorrow.

I dug up the other grapes and took them to my sister 175 miles south of here. They should grow great for her.

Gardening can be filled with disappointment. It makes each achievement that much more satisfying.
