I know honey bees have been under attack from some unknown cause for the last decade, yet this area has always had an abundance of honey bees. That is until last fall, when my Sedum ‘Autumn Joy,’ which always swarmed with honey bees, saw few. This summer I can count on one hand the number of honey bees I’ve seen. Plenty of the big bumble bees horde my plants’ resources. I find it worrisome as I love to use honey to bake and cook, plus I am very aware of the number of crops honey bees fertilize.
